The film was set to have an earlier release date in Diwali this year, however, that has been pushed to January 2018. So perhaps to compensate for this delay, the film’s director Shankar Shanmugham shared a video of the making of the film.
The “2.0” film is set to be much grander than its predecessor, both in scale and in the budget as the makers have spent a lavish Rs 400 crore after the making of the film, which is touted as the costliest Asian film to be ever made.
“ Makers of Baahubali, are you listening? ” Shankar shared the making of the video on his official Twitter handle.

The film will also go all out with the promotions of the film. A 100-foot hot-air balloon adorned with life-sized images of Rajinikanth and actor Akshay Kumar will be traveling around the world.
Earlier in June, the balloon was clicked at Hollywood signage in Los Angeles. The film will see Rajnikanth star alongside Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles.
The film “2.0” to be released in 7000 screens worldwide on January 25th, 2018.
